Pray for the Flock
Scripture is clear that prayer is one of the primary responsibilities of an elder. One Life Church elders are men who commit to pray and fast for the church and our leadership on a regular basis. “Pray in the Spirit at all times and on every occasion. Stay alert and be persistent in your prayers for all believers everywhere.” Ephesians 6:18
Protect the Flock
A biblical elder is responsible for the spiritual condition, direction and doctrine of the church. It is the responsibility of the elders to protect the church from false teachings and division. “Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love. Make every effort to keep yourselves united in the Spirit, binding yourselves together with peace.” Ephesians 4:3
Pastor the Flock
One of the primary roles of an elder is to ensure the members in their care are receiving spiritual nourishment and protection. As a shepherd, these men are to ensure that each member is in a relationship of accountability and encouragement.“So encourage each other and build each other up, just as you are already doing.” 1 Thessalonians 5:11
One Life Church Elders
Serving 2017-2022Fenn and his wife Ann are serious Jesus followers. They have been a part of the One life family since 2016 and host a weekly life group in addition to their roles on the Eldership.
Serving 2016-2020Jack is a rock solid man of faith. His quiet but consistent service at One Life is easy to see. He has been a part of One Life since 2007. Jack and Erin serve as leaders on the worship teams in addition to their duties.
Brian is a man who hears the voice of God and responds. He has been a part of One Life since 2009 and served countless hours in life groups, production arts, and on the worship team. He is married to Marlyn, one of our worship team leaders and half of the dynamic duo responsible for our meal train ministry.
