Sermon Series: Bent but Not Broken
To many, a bruised reed is a worthless thing. A bruised reed is considered feeble and even dispensable. It has no power, no stability, no purpose. It is good for nothing but to be cut down and discarded. In the world, there are many bruised people, individuals who have been wounded emotionally, spiritually, or physically. Many of us may feel beat up, tossed side to side and flipped upside down. We’re tired. We’re wondering how long we can last. Here’s the good news: God gives us exactly what we need to become resilient in the middle of the wind and the rain. We might be bent, but we are not broken when we place our trust in God. During this series of teachings, we will look at the six ingredients of resiliency and strive to put them into practice in our daily lives.
