One Life is a non-denominational church. There is no governing board, entity, or agency that controls or approves what we do or don’t do.

One Life is overseen by a Board of Overseers. Our Board of Overseers are nominated by the members of One Life and serve a 4-year term.

At One Life we have a vision to create a Roundtable Leadership Structure rather than a leadership structure based upon hierarchy. Currently, this table is made up of our Board of Overseers, Staff, and Ministry Team leaders. We strive to invite diverse voices to this table so that we can experience what Paul describes in Ephesians 4, “So that the body of Christ may be built up until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ.”

We believe both men and women can hold all roles of leadership within the church body. For us, a fundamental truth of the Bible is that spiritual gifts are not gender-specific. In other words, we believe that the Holy Spirit releases gifts of leadership to both men and women. Our goal, then, is to disciple and empower both men and women in the areas of their gifting within their current context leading to maximum impact for the Kingdom of God. Practically, this means we value and celebrate the God-given capacity of men and women to lead without limitation, even as we humbly evaluate the best empowerment of that leadership in each situation and circumstance
